Outward: Building Up Every Part in God’s Design for His Church
September 19 – December 5, 2021

10:20 a.m. | Fellowship Hall
Led by members of Chelten’s missions committee

We have seen stories of faith in Hebrews 11, now let us join together within our own Chelten community, surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1–3) to spur one another on to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

We will explore our purpose as witnesses for Jesus unto the glory of God, and we will train to run the race together while growing in the likeness of Christ. We invite each believer to join together in God’s plan for the world, to train our “spiritual muscles” toward the practical outworking of our faith for Kingdom impact within our communities.

Esther: For Such a Time as This
September 19 – December 19, 2021

10:20 a.m. | Fellowship Hall

All who are children of God through faith in Christ have a Kingdom purpose—a calling to do God’s will in the time and place where He has put them. Learn about your purpose when we study the Old Testament book of Esther. Esther and her uncle Mordecai lived in a pagan nation not their own, where their people had been displaced to face an uncertain future. Yet our sovereign God was working through them to fulfill His covenant promises in unexpected ways. As Mordecai said to Esther: “Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14). [The class will include overviews of the Old Testament, Ezra, and Nehemiah.]

Room 410 | 10:20-11:00 a.m.

Oasis is a Sunday morning class for individuals with a desire to know God better and enjoy Christian fellowship regardless of a disability or special need. Focused primarily on teenage years and older, the class studies God’s Word, prays and has fun together growing in our faith and discovering the abundant life we all have in Christ.
