Colossians & Philemon: Reconciliation with God and Others

Start Date: March 1
9:00 a.m.–10:15 p.m. | Fellowship Hall | 11-week Study

Writing from prison in Rome, Paul delivered two letters by the former slave, Onesimus. First, Paul wrote to the Colossians to fortify the church against false teachers, demonstrating the superiority of Christ over all human philosophies and traditions. He explains Christ’s deity and the reconciliation accomplished by Jesus’ blood. He explains that the right way of living is to focus on heavenly, rather than earthly, things. Second, Paul wrote to Philemon about reconciliation and relationships between Christians who love each other in Christ. Join us for an inductive study of these two New Testament letters with practical applications for today.

Single and Parenting Workbook

Single and Parenting

Begins January 8
Fellowship Hall | 7:00–8:30 p.m. | 14-week Class

Single parenting is tough. You want to do the best for your kids but worry you can’t. It’s all you can do just to survive. Sometimes you want to give up. That’s a normal reaction. You’re doing the job of two people, and you’re tired.

Wouldn’t it be great to meet weekly with other single parents who understand your day-to-day worries and struggles? Wouldn’t it be helpful to learn and discuss with them parenting strategies and insights? Good news. You can, right here at Chelten.

Cost: $15.00

Sign up online or at the Welcome Center.

Your children in grades 1–5 are invited to attend Explorer Girls or Master Builders while you attend Single and Parenting. Visit our Children’s Ministry page to learn more and register them.

Men’s Ministry Meetings

Over the course of eight verse-by-verse video sessions, pastor and author Eric Mason expands our vision to see that Jonah’s story is our own. Far more than a thrilling Sunday school adventure, it offers a profound glimpse into the conflict that occurs when God calls resistant believers to his mission. More importantly, it underscores the depths of his compassion not only in redeeming the lost, but redeeming those he has called to participate in his reconciling work.
