What to Expect on Your First Sunday Morning Visit
It’s always hard to be the new person, but we will try our best to make you feel at home when you visit. Stop by our Welcome Center and pick up a visitor’s gift or introduce yourself to our greeters and ushers. Fill out a visitor’s card so we can get to know you. (No obligation!) And we’d love for you to head to the Loft between services where we can chat with you over coffee and a goodie!
What to Wear
Before visiting Chelten, you may be wondering what to wear. It’s always nice to feel like you fit in. And you will! Feel comfortable wearing your favorite jeans or come in business casual. It all works. And you may catch a glimpse of an Eagles, Phillies or Flyers jersey…or two!
We have plenty of parking—it’s just hiding behind our building. Follow the signs, and feel free to take advantage of our visitor parking spots. Our most-used entrance is actually our back door via the playground area. Wheelchair-accessible parking is available in the front of the church, although all floors are elevator accessible.
Our 75-minute services begin at 9:00 am and 10:45 am. We sing together a blend of contemporary songs and hymns, pray, greet each other and are challenged by God’s word. At no time will we single you out by asking you to stand on your own, raise your hand, announce your pet’s name or do backflips down the aisle.
Chelten’s informal Sunday morning classes are great places to connect with others and hear more about God’s Word. From babies to high school seniors we provide a safe environment where your children can learn about God, experience the love of Jesus and enjoy being with their peers.
