Director of Music
Part-time
The music at Chelten is God-centered, liturgically rich, and intended to draw congregants closer to Him. Songs are carefully selected to communicate theological truths and to turn our affection to God. The musical style is contemporary and diverse, with a mix of newer songs and older hymns. A large group of volunteers (professional and lay musicians) are divided into the different bands that lead music in the weekly worship service. The scheduling is based on availability and/or the creative vision of the music director. Varying ensembles each week reflect the priority of the community and the demographics of the congregation. It seeks to be multi-generational, reverent and focused on community.
