Week of Prayer

As a kingdom of priests (Rev 1:6), we have the joy of interceding for others in prayer (1 Tim 2:1), continually coming boldly before God’s throne with confidence for our own needs and on behalf of the world around us (1 Thess 5:17 & Heb 4:16).

Join us at 7:30pm each night from Monday, October 26–Friday, October 30 for a 1–hour virtual prayer meeting. Come to one or all five. Come for the full hour or as much as you are able to. We will not be praying for a specific candidate or party, but rather humbling ourselves before God, we will ask for:

  • wisdom for the leaders in our government
  • humility, repentance, unity and love throughout the church of Jesus Christ
  • peace, justice and the good for all of our nation
  • the Kingdom of God to grow in and through us
  • and much more!

The link to the Zoom meeting, password and phone-in option will be sent out to the Chelten members and attenders this afternoon.

Pastor Neil Kulp will be retiring from his ministry at Chelten on December 31, 2020. Neil and Jackie have served the church faithfully for many years and their ministry has been appreciated by so many of us. A Farewell/Retirement Celebration is planned for Sunday, November 15 at 4:00pm. The celebration will take place in the Worship Center. Wearing a face mask will be required.

Similar to Sunday worship services, registration will be required to attend the celebration in person.

We look forward to this special time together to celebrate Neil and Jackie, and to show them how much they are loved and appreciated!

Because of current COVID restrictions and limited seating, the event will be live streamed and will also be available for viewing on YouTube after the 15th.
