COVID-19 Response[Saturday, March 14, 10:00 am]
By now you probably know that we have cancelled our Sunday worship services for the next two weeks. Life looks different now in many ways and we are praying that we all are adjusting to the new normal.
In other ways our lives won’t need to change. Since our Christian faith is not defined by a church building, we have a unique opportunity to live out Christ’s upside kingdom by continuing to worship on Sunday, but now in a new way. We’re inviting you to set aside time on Sunday to worship in your home.
On Sunday morning you will receive an email from Chelten. Think of it as a worship “care package.” It will include an order of worship for you to follow that includes Scripture readings, songs (with links to YouTube recordings), a message from your three pastors and, of course, announcements! We’ll also be sending out another email on Monday to announce our new candidate for the Senior Pastor of Worship.
During these weeks when life is not normal, please feel free to contact your deacon if you have needs that he can meet. Although the church campus is closed, your pastors are always available through email or telephone if you have an urgent need. Be assured that we are praying for you, our community, and for our nation.
What a great opportunity God has given us to love our neighbors and shine Jesus’ light during these dark and difficult days! “So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good” (1 Peter 4:19).

[Thursday, March 12, 5:00 pm]
On Thursday afternoon Governor Wolf ordered the closure of public spaces in Montgomery County in light of the spread of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus. As followers of Christ, we are called to live in submission to the governing authorities (Romans 13:1).
In light of this mandate, ALL Chelten ministries and activities will be canceled until further notice. Yes, this means ALL—including Sunday morning worship services, CCDC and all other ministries.
Please stay informed by regularly checking your email. We will be sending out regular updates via the Chelten eNews and through the church website. If you do not receive the Chelten eNews and would like to, please email [email protected] to be added.
In the meantime, let’s devote ourselves to prayer as we trust the Lord, giving thanks in all circumstances and looking for opportunities to love and bless those around us.
